On Sunday 11 March 2012 over 100 Y pools in Australia will host the YMCA Swimathon – the YMCA’s very first national fundraising event!

The YMCA Swimathon is free and open to everybody, regardless of their swimming ability. We want as many Australians to participate in the YMCA Swimathon as possible, so they can all have the chance to live a happier and healthier life, and help out their local communities.

The money you raise will directly benefit your local community. The programs at your Y will be expanded so we can assist more people in need. New programs will also be implemented so we can do more in our local community.

The YMCA Swimathon will:

Take place in over 100 YMCA pools across the country, from Darwin to Hobart, Brisbane to Perth - In total seven States & Territories
All money raised will be used to support more than 100 different communities.
